Greetings to the Warren Store deli workers!
I sort of remember when I first saw the tip jar on the counter. Having patronized the Warren Store deli for more than 30 years, I might have been the original customer when breakfast was served for the first time. I admit to taking a proprietary interest in the store and everything that goes on there. If anyone should be leaving tips, it should be me. I get the most attention, the best service, special treatment, extra consideration, extra maple syrup and sometimes I am allowed to jump the line when it is extra busy.
Despite all this, I have never left a tip in the tip jar. It’s a little awkward and leaving a tip of 50 cents or 75 cents seems rather inconsequential. I apologize for making you wait so long for the tip, but here it is…at least I years worth. Divide this up however you would like. I am equally fond of everyone working in the store and behind the deli counter, and THANKS for all your kindness and consideration. Looking forward to another 30 years of lemons with an occasional breakfast twist.
