February Light and Love

“While it is February one can taste the full joys of anticipation. Spring stands at the gate with her finger in the latch.” –  Patience Strong

You can feel it. You can see it. The warmth of the sun- however brief- during the day and a bit of light left outside as we settle in for the 6 o’ clock news. Yes there’s plenty of winter left to enjoy but February stands as the link between winter and spring.  For a short month we are long on activities during this month of celebration and reflection.

During President’s Week we are continuing our tradition of featuring our Vermont vendors, artists, and producers.

Our “ under our noses” shout out this month goes to the three Waitsfield businesses; Kinney Drug, Mehurons, and Infinite Sports- that were affected by the fire a few weeks ago. Our thoughts and  support go out to the businesses and their respective staff. This community knows how to circle the wagons and keep anyone from falling through the cracks.

Many of us feel that Vermont winter really starts in February. Enjoy the wonderful playground we live in. Feel that sun on your face and ski or snowshoe that extra hour. Spring’s coming!
